Description
The Unitree Go2 Air is the entry-level configuration in Unitree's Go2 quadruped robot series, providing an accessible path into advanced robotics for education, demonstrations, and mobility experiments. Designed as a lighter-cost option compared to Pro and EDU variants, the Go2 Air delivers core quadruped capabilities at the most competitive price point in the lineup.
Standing 70 cm tall and weighing approximately 15 kg with battery, the Go2 Air features 12 aluminum joint motors enabling walking, running, and terrain navigation across surfaces where wheeled platforms cannot operate. The robot's 4D LiDAR provides environmental perception for obstacle detection and autonomous navigation in controlled environments.
With 1-2 hours runtime and up to 10 kg payload capacity, the Go2 Air supports practical demonstration scenarios and hands-on robotics education. The platform's 2.5 m/s maximum speed and stair-climbing capability showcase the fundamentals of quadruped locomotion without the complexity of developer-focused configurations.
Note that the Go2 Air does not include secondary development support—teams requiring SDK access should consider the EDU variants. The Air edition serves educational institutions, robotics clubs, demonstration events, and hobbyists seeking an authentic quadruped robot experience at an accessible investment level.
